Leonard and Sara (Any day)
Her question amused Leonard and he let out a rare chuckle as he turned to face her. "Maybe if I do it when you least expect it," he countered smoothly. Not that Leonard would live up to the statement. He already bragged about wanting to kiss her at the top of the Ferris wheel.
"I was thinking of a teddy bear, but then I thought that would be far too cliché even on a normal date like this one. So, maybe something out there. Like an elephant or a hippo. Yeah, maybe a pink hippo." He offered her a playful smirk as the Ferris Wheel slowed to a stop.
With a quick glance, it was easy for Leonard to know they would be able to have a seat this time around. As they were ushered into one of the empty seats, Leonard took her hand, making sure she was settled before he took the seat beside her. Yes, that included doing his own check of the bar on their laps to make sure they were both strapped in.
He kept his hand in hers as the ride started and they started to climb towards the sky. It was perfect. More perfect than Leonard deserved and part of him felt as if at any moment it could come crashing down around them both. Wasn't that how it always was for the two of them? Their chance snatched away by unforeseen circumstances.
His blue eyes flickered from the sky around them to her face. Without a single word (which was rare for Leonard), he leaned in and captured her lips in a soft kiss.
