George yelped when Five vanished. She stared at the space he'd been occupying. "Holy shit!'
She spun around when she felt the tapping on her shoulder, eyes wide. "Holy shit!" she yelled again, "You teleported!"
A matronly looking woman with three children in tow glared at George. "Language, young lady!" George glared right back, but restrained herself--barely--from giving her the finger. She turned her attention back to Five.
"Wow. That's pretty cool. It sure would have made getting around Seattle for reaps a hell of a lot easier." She ate some of her corn. It was hot and sweet and buttery and salty. "So did you do any good? Was your fucked up childhood worth it?"
