Lucky missed her friends and her family already, but she was slowly starting to settle in here in Madison Valley. Having Spirit here with her certainly helped, but having Kurt as her guardian had been a massive help as well. He had been kind to her and for her looks had never really be all that important. She actually liked his blue skin and the way he moved. It seemed that they had a school here as well, so perhaps she would be able to make some more friends. But the first thing she needed to worry about was finding some more clothes and school supplies. She didn't want to ask Kurt for too much, because he had done so much already, but she knew that she did need a few things. So, she had asked him to go shopping, so that they could find the things that she needed. With that in mind she had gotten dressed and made her way downstairs. She knew that she was ready a little on the early side, but she also hadn't wanted to wait upstairs. She made her way over to the smaller sofa and curled up there with the book she had been reading before arriving. She had been glad that at least one of her books had come through with her; she wasn't sure how she would like a world without Boxcar Bonnie. Once she had made herself comfortable she flipped to her place in the book and began reading once again. This was one that she had read already, but that didn't matter to her. Somehow she could always get lost in these books, no matter how many times she had read them. She was so lost in her book that she lost track of time and she hadn't heard Kurt coming down the stairs. So, when she finally heard someone clear their voice she nearly jumped out of her skin and her book fell to the floor. Once she realized there wasn't any danger she turned to face him. "Sorry...it was the good part. I guess I just got lost in the book". |
