Nancy shook her head with a laugh, sticking her tongue out at him as if she was a child. “No, I’m saying people don’t know great sex so they only think they are getting it with me and it really sucks,” she was joking and knew Scott didn’t think she was serious. While Nancy never showed it, she did have some self-esteem issues on her looks; however, she never ever allowed herself to care long enough to focus on it. Just like she knew she was great in bed and no one would ever complain.
She could see all over his face that he was feeling the alcohol. Nancy wanted to call him a lightweight but that wasn’t fair. He was never going to drink her under the table because of what she was, but for now she’d be nice. “No, but Cassie was still someone if she needed anything, you’d come. So in a way you were, and the kids you have all look up to you so I’d say you’re doing a great job,” she patted him on the back to comfort him, sighing.
“Does anyone ever plan for how their life goes? I mean I never planned to be….,” she paused cause she almost said a monster but changed courses with what she was going to say. “I never saw myself having a stable place to stay since I was always on the street or other various places, never have a ward who I’m watching for, or even a paying job. Life has a funny way of working out sometimes for the best like this place or sometimes not so great. Such as back home, I lost the first guy I may have finally tried a relationship with.” Drowning another shot as she said that depressing statement.
