Things had been awkward for Loki since Sylvie's arrival. Mostly because he didn't know where he stood with Sylvie, but also because he didn't know how to make room for her in this existence. He'd assumed he would never see her again, and now that she was here, he wasn't sure how to reconcile that.
It wasn't that Loki was avoiding, per se, it was just that he hadn't gone out of his way to find her and figure things out. That led to awkward conversations and difficult emotions--neither of which were good for Lokis. He wasn't opposed to seeing her. He was just... nervous? Not nervous. Never nervous. He didn't have anything to be afraid of.
When Sylvie picked the lock and let herself back into his apartment, Loki was in the kitchen with a bottle of wine. He turned to the front door with an eyebrow raised. "In here."
