Who: Anakin and Luna What: attending the ball Where: the ball When: the night of the ball Warnings: tbd Status: closed/g-doc
Luna hadn’t expected to end up on a cruise. Not that she minded, because she could experience it for the first time with Anakin. And, she had to admit room service was nice when she got hungry after some energetic sex with Anakin.
But tonight, she dressed up to enjoy a ball, complete with a trip to the salon on board. It occurred to the blonde witch that at some point perhaps she and Anakin should have a relationship discussion. It wasn’t as though she wanted to see anyone else. At all.
She hadn’t gone back to the room, so she could surprise Anakin.
Anakin had been thrown off when he woke up on a cruise ship. He had been on plenty of ships in the past, but only ones that flew. With the exception of when he and Luna had explored the Titanic a few months ago. That was different, though. He and Luna had planned to go on that ship. It had been their choice. This had not been.
He was, however, glad that he had woken up in the same bed as Luna. He knew others hadn’t been so fortunate.
Tonight there was to be a ball of sorts. Luna had apparently disappeared for a few hours in preparation for the ball, so Anakin took the time to make himself presentable. He could often be seen wearing clothing from home, but tonight he decided to wear something from this world. Something Luna hadn’t seen him in.
And if Luna had wanted to surprise him with her look for the ball, she definitely succeeded. He approached her, and offered her a small smile. “You look beautiful, Luna,” he told her.
Luna smiled at the sight of Anakin. He always looked good, but right now he looked even better than usual. And, while she’d never say so out loud or to anyone, a part of her felt kind of excited she would get to see him out of the suit later.
She kissed him softly and asked, “Shall we head inside?” The blonde witch could use some refreshments at this point before they started to dance.
“I need a drink,” Luna declared and then leaned in and kissed Anakin again.
“I think I can handle getting some refreshments for the two of us, beautiful,” he said, offering her a small smile. He returned her kisses, gladly doing so. He enjoyed kissing her, he enjoyed doing a lot of things with her. …including getting her out of that dress later.
That was later, though. This was now. He would have to behave himself for a little while before heading back to their room.
Anakin offered Luna his arm, to lead her into the ballroom. He was definitely looking forward to dancing with Luna. Beautiful Luna.
She grinned, especially at the ‘beautiful’ comment and then Luna took the offered arm as they walked into the ballroom.
“This might put Hogwarts to shame.” Luna’s eyes widened at how lovely everything looked, including Anakin. “I love that suit on you.” She knew his preference for clothes from home, but the witch appreciated him in that outfit. Might appreciate it more on the floor, but she refused to think about that quite yet.
Luna looked around and took in how lovely everyone else looked as she waited for the drink. She could smell food, but didn’t quite feel ready for food yet.
“I wish I could see this Hogwarts of yours,” he told her as they walked into the ballroom. “From what I have heard from you, it is a wonderful place.” He had almost chosen the word magical but he knew there was more to it than that. Of course it was a magical place. It taught magic.
Anakin wasn’t quite ready for food, either, but he was more than willing to get the drink Luna seemed to desire. And one for himself. They needed a drink a piece, at least.
“I am lucky to be here with you,” he told her, kissing her temple softly.
Luna wished she could show Hogwarts to him. Especially now that it had been rebuilt after the battle. It made her miss the professors, Hermione, Neville, and Harry, especially Neville. The two of them always got along well, as slight outcasts.
She smiled. “I’m lucky to be here with you.” Luna looked at the crowd as she asked, “Are we good with where we stand or should we put a label on us?”
Anakin considered Luna’s question for a moment. “That depends, Luna,” he said, softly. “I have never had a relationship I could be open about, this is all new to me.” Yes, he had married Padmme, and making her his wife was putting a label on their relationship. He hadn’t even been able to tell Obi-Wan, though, and that had made it difficult.
“I think I would like to put a label on us, but only if you are comfortable in doing so.” He didn’t want to do anything Luna wasn’t comfortable with.
He wanted her to feel as at ease as possible.
The blonde watched his face as he considered her words. “Then we’ll put a label on us.” Luna wanted to be open about their relationship. Inwardly it still bothered her how Anakin couldn’t be open about his wife back home. Perhaps the fact he still had a wife back home should bother Luna, but in her mind, Anakin had space for both of them.
“So, a drink, some food, and maybe some dancing?” Her smile brightened. “I need some energy later when I get you out of your suit,” she whispered. Say what you would, but the two engaged in an active sex life these days.
“But definitely a drink.”
Anakin smiled slightly at Luna’s words. He liked the idea of putting a label on their relationship. It wasn’t as though he had been planning on being with anyone else, even without a label. So the label made sense, really. He had been planning on being faithful to Luna either way.
“Oh, you will definitely be getting me out of my suit later,” he said, with a slight smirk. He was pleased with the sexual aspect of their relationship. It hadn’t been planned, but he enjoyed it. He enjoyed sex with Luna.
And only Luna.
“Definitely a drink, yes. And food. We need to get you just enough energy for later, but not fill you up enough to where you’re comatose.”
