Lois had been debating on texting Anna about a girl’s hang out, figuring she want to enjoy this vacation with her new hubby. It was definitely a nice get away after being married, and she was hoping her friend was enjoying it. Deciding to wait until further into the trip before reaching out. Finally, Lois texted her friend about hanging out and exploring the ship to see about them taking part in one of the activities. Lois figured it’d be fun, and the way Anna was, she was sure the other girl would be all for that.
Deciding to meet up on the top deck since it’d be easier than wandering the ship to try to locate one another. Lois left dressed in jeans and a shirt, making sure to have her purse and cell in case Laura or Clark needed her for anything. Heading up to the top deck, she smiled at the sight of Anna. “Hey! How’s married life treating you?” Lois asked, hugging her friend once she was closer.
—
Anna was definitely enjoying this trip. She was also excited to get to hang out with Lois. The other woman had become something of a confidant to Anna. She was always willing to give advice about the wedding and life in general, something Anna very much appreciated. She was very happy the two of them had become closer because of it.
So she was all set to go meet with her when she got the text. She definitely loved getting to spend this vacation with Kristoff, but sharing the experience with friends was also something she did not want to miss out on.
"Married life is wonderful!" Anna replied as she returned the hug. "I mean, it isn't that different from how things were before, but just knowing about the new milestone in our relationship makes everything that much more perfect."

Lois wasn’t used to having many friends, especially girlfriends. With her life and the hours, it made the whole thing rather difficult to put the energy into all of that. She was glad for a change of pace and the opportunity to do things a little differently, especially since she had nothing but time. It made things a whole lot easier when it came to trying to form friendships, and honestly, she was happy about that. Lois quite liked her friendship with Anna and was happy to be able to consider the younger woman a friend. "I’m glad to hear that! Yeah, while it does change some things and comes with a whole lot of gifts, in the big picture sense, it’s not all that different." She added with a smile. "Have you guys managed to do anything fun on the cruise so far? Or any future plans? I know there are a whole lot of activities being offered both on and off the ship." Lois had taken a quick glance at all that was being offered, and was impressed to see how they had things that covered almost everyone and their interests. —
"Oh yes! This whole trip has been magical," Anna said dreamily. "And before that, we saw elephants on our honeymoon! I had never seen one in person before!"
It was very exciting. So was being on this cruise. "And this is all so beautiful. So much ice! I know my sister must love this."
Making sure Elsa was having a great time was important to Anna. "In fact, this reminds me of home a little bit."
Arendelle's climate was much more mild, though it was much cooler in the summer than Indiana was.
__
“Where did you two go for your honeymoon?” Lois couldn’t quite remember if she was told or was forgetting all of a sudden. Which was a possibility with everything that had been on her mind as of late. “You’ve never seen one?!?! They are such beautiful creatures and while they are not my favorite animal, I do love them. How was it seeing one for the first time?”
Lois hadn’t yet met Elsa, but she knew of the woman. Though she knew she’d need to change that, especially since she really liked Anna and would love to get to know her sister. Maybe she’d reach out during the trip or after once back in Madison.
“There is a lot of ice. I’m torn because on one hand the view is gorgeous and so many things to see. On the other, I’m wanting sunshine, beaches, umbrella drinks, and warm weather.” Lois could see positives on both side of things so it was a win the trip and also a lost for her. It was a confusing mixed bag with her.
When Lois heard how this reminded Anna of home, it caught her attention. “Does it really? I’m sure home was a beautiful place. This probably has you missing it a bit, huh?”
—
"We went to Botswana! We stayed at a lodge where you can interact with elephants. It was so lovely," Anna gushed. I had only seen elephants in pictures back home. There wasn't as much technology then, so there was no internet."
Botswana seemed so far away from Arendelle. Of course, it was far from Indiana as well. "I am so happy we had the chance to go!"
She would cherish those memories as long as she was still remaining in Madison. She hoped on some level, she could remember if she ever does go home. That didn't seem very likely, though.
About the cruise, she said, "I can understand why you'd want beaches and sun! That would be very nice, too. But I do enjoy this. Everywhere we look, there is something amazing to look at. That's kind of how it was back home, too. Just beauty everywhere. I do miss it, but I am happy most of the important people in my life are here."
__
“That sounds like an amazing time! I might be a bit jealous, but it sounds like you two had an amazing time,” Lois might need to look about this place because it sounded like an amazing time. Right now, she was just super happy that it sounded like Anna had a great time. “I guess if you only know that, then it’s fine, but I’d be lost without my internet. I’ve seen them at the zoo, and they are beautiful.”
From how Anna sounded, Lois figured they had an amazing honeymoon, and she was happy to hear. The girl had become a friend and Lois didn’t have many of those here or back home so she was happy to hear the woman had a fun time. “I hope you took plenty of photos.”
Lois couldn’t help but agree. Even if this wasn’t the beaches and sun type of cruise, there was still so many amazing things to take in and memories to be had. That was the exact reason she was torn on her feelings with this cruise. Not like she could change it, which meant Lois was going to enjoy it. Not that she’d have a hard time cause she was loving the view and some of the options when they ported. Figuring she’d see if Laura wanted to hit up some of the activities,. “Your home sounds amazing. Before moving to my husband’s old town, I lived in the city and yeah, it’s not always a beautiful sight,” she added with a laugh. “But I can promise it’s always interesting and always has something going on.” That was for sure, and she usually knew because of both her job and reputation. Hopefully, a reputation she’d still have after her sister was done trying to destroy it. “I’m with you on the most important people around. Other than a few missing, I do have a lot still here to be happy about. Are you free? I figured we could do some exploring and see what’s going on around the cruise?” She offered with a smile.
—
"I have many pictures! I'll have to show them to you," Anna said excitedly. "If you want to see them."
She hoped she'd get to go to a zoo sometime. She was sure there'd be a chance to at one of the vacation spots. She truly loved animals and did her best to protect them.
"I do appreciate the people I have here, too, the friends I've made. Including you." She smiled when she said that. She was happy to call Lois a friend. In fact, she was starting to feel like family. "And that means I would love to go exploring with you! I heard there was some kind of sea walk! It looked very interesting."
__
“Nah, why would I want to do that?” Lois scoffed and made a face as if she was serious about not wanting to see these pictures and why would Anna even offer that before quickly laughing and losing the fake attitude. “I would love to see them! We can grab lunch either here or back home and you can show me all of them.” She was actually looking forward to seeing the pictures from the honeymoon, and see everything the two had done.
A smile appeared on Lois’ face on Anna calling her a friend because she agreed and felt Anna was a friend of hers. “I’m glad to have the people I know from my world, but I’ve also been enjoying branching out to meet new people. Making friends like you who are not from my world.” Not that she would trade in any of the people from her world because they were family. Lois was happy to get the chance to know Mia better along with the others.
But she was also glad to expand her social circles into people who didn’t know everything that went on back in her world. “Is there? I hadn’t heard that, but it sounds amazing,” she admitted and it really did sound like something worth checking out. “We should check that out, what do you think? We can go look at that on our exploring of the ship?” Lois offered, figuring Anna would be up for going to see about this sea walk and get more information about it.
—
"I have a lot of them on my phone, so we can look at them anytime," Anna suggested. "But we should go exploring first! So I can add even more pictures."
How could she not take pictures of this beautiful, glacial backdrop? These were the kinds of things that should be remembered for a lifetime. Though pictures never could do it justice. Seeing it in person? Breathtaking.
"And I think that would be wonderful!" she said excitedly. "It just seems like the kind of thing friends should do."
There were many things she wanted to see with Kristoff, as well, but this was something she wanted to share with Lois. It just seemed right.
