"I'm glad you had that second chance at motherhood then," Lisa replied honestly. When she was pregnant with Ben, there was a part of her that had considered giving him up for adoption. She wasn't nearly as established or mature back then and she believed he would have done better with someone else to raise him. She was glad everyday she didn't, but she could completely understand why someone would.
"That's the best way to handle it. And no, Ben isn't. He was for a short time, but then this place sent him back. It's been hard without him. I'm sorry to hear your adopted son isn't here anymore either." Lisa missed Ben every single day; they'd been inseparable since he was born practically and being without him bothered Lisa so much.
