Re: Rowan & Claudia
Rowan had a small smile slip over her lips, relaxing a bit with the joking. Stinger had messed her up with him around here, but she was trying to push forward each day like she told Allison that she would. Was it easy? No, sometimes she wanted to shut out the world and hide, but she didn’t allow herself to do that no matter how on edge she felt. Though she had wanted to run away from this, she was here and sticking to what she signed up for. “I’ll keep that in mind. No rude comments from you, possible ones from your boss.”
The compliment was welcomed even if Rowan was inside her head doubting every word of it. It was hard to break old habits, but at least her doubt wasn’t coming out in words. “Thank you very much,” she was grateful for the compliment since it meant a lot to her, especially when she was showing off her work for the first time. “Really?!” Her tone couldn’t hide the surprise or the hint of doubt as if this was a weird joke.
“That’s a really nice offer, and..” she trailed off for a moment, making a face in thought at what she wanted to say, “you really think she’d want to showcase some of this?” Even though part of her was wanting to say no, she couldn’t. The bigger part told Rowan it wouldn’t hurt to maybe meet. The woman’s boss might say no, might hate it, or even Rowan could say no. “I’ll have to think about it, but there is no harm in sitting down.” A smile appeared once again as she said it, hiding the freaking out both the good and bad kind that was going on within herself.
“Nice to meet you, and thank you again. I’m Rowan. That means a lot since I got into photography when my family drama started as an escape and I found I loved it,” her eyes scanning over the different photos in front of her before returning her focus to Claudia.
