"I'm sure that it will," he agreed, for her sake. They'd lived in huge houses, mansions honestly, and it had never seemed to change anything, but let them try. He was fine with letting them try if it might help things out for everybody.
As for him, well, he was trying to make a home for himself here too. Sometimes he succeeded, sometimes he didn't. He loved that Hope was here, but he was also annoyed at himself at times for not standing up like he should against things because he didn't want to upset her.
And he didn't want to upset her. But he didn't want to be boring either. It was a fine balance.
