Nancy had been spending a lot of time around the different shops with magical items, but even more so if they had books of the magical kind. There was no way Nancy could help Ace without magic, and while she had no interest in learning magic, she was willing to do whatever it took to save him. If that meant jumping right into the world of magic and learning how to use it a little, then so be it. Though that wouldn’t matter if she couldn’t find a way to fix whatever the hell Temperance had done.
Today she had decided to spend the day working on her problem rather than some of the others going on. Scanning the shelves of the shop, her eyes settled on one about hexes, flipping through it for a moment before setting it aside. The last few books she had glanced at while their hex section was small mentioned how an individual needed to know the hex cast. That wasn’t going to help her because she had no idea.
Nancy needed to find something where the spell cast didn’t need to be known or a way to find out what had been cast. The book she had set aside was a bit bigger, giving her a small bit of hope for something more useful. She’d look at it better before buying it. She picked it up again as she moved down another row, scanning the titles for anything mentioning curses, hexes, or anything along those lines. "Sorry," she said, realizing she almost bumped into someone when moving to the side, focusing more on the books than what or who was around her.
