Rowan had stayed glued to her phone for most of the day, waiting and fearing someone who she didn’t want from her world to show up. If anyone from thezoo popped up, she had no idea what she’d do other than try to protect the people close to her. Their issue was with her, and no matter how strong her friends were, she wasn’t going to allow them to end up in the line of fire. Lying in bed, she had done another scroll through to see if anything had changed, feeling a small bit of relief that there was still no sign. In the back of her mind, she knew they could be staying off the radar, especially when she felt like someone was watching her, but she was trying to not overthink it.
At some point during the scrolling, she had fallen asleep with her phone on her bed.

Stinger who had hacked into her cameras, had been watching and waiting for the perfect moment to slowly slip into the house and go up to her room. He was walking with a limp from where Rowan had shot him in the leg, reminding him even more of the anger bubbling within, but he didn’t want to kill Rowan like his girlfriend did. Well, not yet, since he wanted to toy with her, break her, and see how far he could push her. Could they break her like they did Nicki. So far, Rowan had been proving harder with that goal, but he had more motivation with the injury caused by her. Spending most of the day watching her, learning her habits from a distance. He had stopped by the flower shop to pick up some special flowers that he knew Rowan would never forget.
Taking a picture of Rowan as she was sleeping, he quietly broke off the flowers, leaving the red roses and blue violets scattered all around the floor. Wanting Rowan to see it when she first woke up. A sly smirk hung on his face as he studied his work, wishing Zoe was here to see it. Then again, she’d probably be a bit upset that he wasn’t just killing her, but that would come later. Right now, he wanted to break Rowan since she seemed to be happy around here. He wanted to get that fear back that he saw from the girls when they came to him for help, thinking he was on their side, when in reality he was one of the many pulling on their puppet strings. Pulling out a red marker from the bag he came with, he wrote on her mirror. We don’t forget. You’re next.
He exited the bedroom and snuck back out of the house after one last look at the work. He had thought about wiping the cameras, but she’d know right away from that, knowing he was good with cameras. Instead, he hoped the hoodie he had on kept enough of the mystery for him to stay hidden a bit longer. He had no where to be and he was all about the night, making it easy enough to hang around, waiting for her to wake up for the next stage of his fun.

Rowan didn’t even remember setting her alarm, but the buzzing sound caused her to stir as the light from outside hit her face. A groan slipped out while still half asleep. Her feet moved to find the ground, touching something with her toes caused her eyes to open rather quickly, and the sight caused Rowan to turn rather pale. She felt her stomach twisting as she saw the flowers all over the floor. The same ones Dunbar had used back in her world, and then the words on the mirror caused her to scream. She had no idea if Allison had left or if she had even come home, but Rowan felt frozen right there on her bed. The ding of a text message caused her to turn her head slowly, fearing what she would see when turning her phone over, because a part of her knew exactly what it’d probably be. Maybe it’d be a text from a friend, but she knew it wasn’t going to be that.
Grabbing her phone, she pumped herself up before turning it over. Her hand shot up, covering her mouth as the fear became a reality. It was a picture of her sleeping and a message. Hunting season is back on #thezoo.
Pulling her legs close to her chest, Rowan refused to let that be the end as she texted them back. And you’ll be the one hunted, asshole. Thezoo is dead and I’ll kill it again. She hit send, and while she knew it wasn’t completely true, it was enough to show that she wasn’t backing down. Even though she was scared out of her mind, Rowan wasn’t about to let whoever was here win.
She needed to tell Allison and probably warn people close to her to stay away. They were safer away from her, especially when it seemed she was back to being the target.

Stinger only smiled at the text message back. "Always the feisty one, Rowan," he said to himself as he slipped the phone into his pockets. Heading back to his little set up that he was making for himself that was off the radar. He didn’t need anyone ruining his plans, so he had picked a spot that seemed like no one really used. He was going to enjoy messing with Rowan, knowing she was a challenge compared to her other friends, but he was never one to back away. Stinger also knew her weaknesses. Just had to find out who she was close to around here because those people were the best ones to go after as a way to hurt her. Taking one more look up towards Rowan’s window, he left to vanish from sight to avoid anyone seeing him and getting noticed before he was ready.
