Who: Donna (Narrative) What: Escorting a woman to court When: Friday afternoon (backdated) Where: Court Rating: low
Donna wasn't a cop here in Madison - she couldn't be since the locals here still seemed to harbour some distrust of people. She sort of understood, but she did miss her job. There wasn't exactly a lot of hunting here either which was kind of ironic, but Donna didn't miss that as much. She was glad she didn't have to save people from supernatural creatures. But while she wasn't a cop, it didn't stop her from having some of the same tendencies.
She had met this young woman as Hinkles one day. Her ex-boyfriend had been harassing her and she was taking him to court for stalking and a restraining order. Donna had spent the entire night getting to know the young woman and had spoken to her for a month now on and off so when the court date finally came, you bet your butt she was going to be there for moral support. And it looked as if her friend would need it too.
On the way into the building the sleaze ball of an ex was standing outside. Donna had no doubt he was only doing it to be intimidating. When it looked like he was going to be ignored, things got a little heated and Donna's nice Minnesotan manners were frayed. She stepped between him and the woman and pointed her finger at him. "I don't know why men like you can't get it through your thick heads, but when a woman says they're done with you, that means they're done. If you're too insecure to be alone with your sorry self than that's your own darn problem, but you will not be making someone else's life miserable just because you're a sad little boy throwing a temper tantrum, do you understand me?" Maybe it was because Donna didn't normally look like the sort who would shout at someone, but it always stunned people for a moment. While Donna didn't think that was going to scare the man straight or anything, it gave them enough time to go passed him and into the court.
She used her various glares through the court session and was pleased when, for once, the court seemed to be in favour of the woman. Of course Donna knew there wasn't a lot a restraining order could really do, but it as the first step.
"Now you listen to me. You call me if he so much as exhales in your direction, you hear me?" She gave her friend a serious stare and then suddenly smiled, back to happy Donna. "Now how about we go celebrate with some gelato? On me, of course."
