Then your wars when you had them must have been proper civilized affairs and your enemies not a bit as brutal and twisted as Farson and his lot. What they do to women whose only crime is being in a place they're passing through...let alone what they'd likely do to a woman actually taking up arms against them. It's horrific.
Stop sounding like Aileen. Aren't we lucky Roland's not like you, to wipe out all respect folk have for gunslingers within a generation. You don't understand the lines and you don't understand symbols nor the Affiliation.
Servants clean and cook. My mother practically runs my father's household, since he's always over in the palace advising Sai Deschain, or out dealing with matters of the war. She educates my sisters. You consider that nothing but it's far from it, they're clever girls. She'd laugh at you if you compared her to a slave. And she's a proper loving mother, to all of us and now I'm here and I'll miss her again.
My parents weren't really in love...before they married, that's not really the way of things at home for people like us, it was more about joining families? But they love each other now. It's a thing that can take time.
That's interesting. It doesn't help, since we can't know which outcomes they'd want to change, or in which direction. But I'll think on it.
