Oliver was still adjusting to this idea of having a normal life...well almost. This place did still seem to throw the occasional crazy at it's residents, but fortunately for Oliver he could handle just about anything. After everything on the island and the events that followed it Oliver got quite used to rolling with the punches. So, he could handle the odd crazy event or two. For him the strangest part about this place was the time between those crazy events. He was trying to be more spontaneous with his time, and not follow that same style of strict schedule he used to. He actually had managed to sleep in that morning as well, which was saying something for him. He usually would have already been wide awake, had his morning run, cleaned all of his knives and even re-strung all of his bows. He also hadn't planned anything to do for the day; he decided that he would just do whatever he felt like doing when he woke up. Leave it to Oliver Queen to think of a shopping run to the herbs & more stop to purchase some things for himself as a fun day out. But that was what he had decided after having breakfast and a nice lengthy hot shower. So, once he had slid his keys, wallet and phone into his pockets he made his way out onto the street. Sure it might seem too far to some, but Oliver decided to walk. It might help him burn off some of the calories from that carb heavy breakfast he had splurged on this morning. Though he did take his time, actually enjoying the view instead of internalizing his own thoughts. Even with him taking his time it didn't take him long to make his into the store. He picked up one of the baskets at the door to put the items that he wanted to purchase in, and then he made his way down the first aisle. For once Oliver was actually trying to allow himself to be in the moment. He had made a short list of items he wanted to purchase, but he was also allowing himself to look at other items. By the time he made it to the register he had actually added a few spur of the moment items to his basket. By this time there was actually a few other shoppers joining him in the store. |
