Rowan & Allison H. (post-show)
“They tend to make things easier,” Rowan enjoyed cooking, but she also loved leftovers. Leaning on them more when busy and unable to do any cooking, especially when her dad came home early in the morning and she was rushing off to school. While she always tried to have breakfast for him, it sometimes didn’t happen and he’d count on leftovers for breakfast before going to sleep.
Rowan wasn’t at all surprised on Allison finding the whole thing weird because the feeling was mutual. “I’m just glad I didn’t have to get any siblings talking to me about how I treat Five or anything,” she teased, knowing it wouldn’t happen considering the siblings all knew her. Plus they knew what the dome was like. Oh, and also they knew Five and how he was. “I’m very thankful for all the help. It’d be one thing if that was my only kid, but it wasn’t and I needed all the help.”
“Hey, I welcome the weird family dynamics. My own is complicated back in my world so I welcome the weird,” and she did, especially with this family. Rowan knew how difficult their lives were, which was another reason she was happy to treat them like family, hoping to give them a better family environment than what they were raised in.
The idea of kids was never something she thought about. Not only because of how she might not make it to where she might have kids, but she was in high school. There was no way she was having children during those years back in her world. Her father would murder her for getting pregnant! And it was not something she was ready for so to have that many here was terrifying.
Allison’s teasing smile caused Rowan to turn red slightly from embarrassment. It wasn’t like her to form a crush on someone, but it had happened. “Yes, Liam. He’s so cute and sweet,” she said after a minute, sounding more like a normal teenager than she did half the time.
