Lounging in a booth by the window, Jinx sipped her chocolate shake and tried to drown out the sound of Mylo complaining because she didn't get vanilla instead. Who the hell took vanilla over chocolate? As Jinx tuned him out the best she could, she scanned the food joint, searching out anything that would distract her from his annoying voice in her head. Her eyes fell on a group of kids with their parents and immediately her mind wandered to the obvious situation at hand.
What the hell was with all these kids?
They just popped up and were everywhere...like ants. As her thought process shifted, so did her adopted brother's priorities. It didn't take long before he was asking her about the kids. As if Jinx had a fucking answer. Madison Valley seemed to do whatever the fuck it wanted. It wanted a pandemic of kids? There was a pandemic of kids.
You're a kid. You'll always be a kid. Jinx growled under her breath. I am not. She shot back, which only succeeded in sending off a barrage of "yes you are" and "no I'm not" in her already cluttered, hurricane of a mind. Before she knew it, she'd slammed her shake down on the table and exclaimed "shut up!" out loud. The room went silent for a moment as all eyes trained on her, Jinx glared at seemingly no one.
"Look what you did! Now they are all staring at me!" Jinx growled. The manager was already on his way over to escort her out, but Jinx stood up and threw her shake at him. "I'm not going anywhere. It's not my fault. It's his."
