Juliet needed her morning coffee. Normally, she’d make it after a morning run, but today it was too cold for her to be out running and she didn’t feel like making coffee herself. Instead, she decided to stop off at Starbucks before heading off to work. Texting the people she worked with to see if anyone wanted her to grab anything while here at Starbucks. Hitting send before getting into line. If they didn’t get their orders to her by the time she got to the front of the line, then they were tough out of luck. Holding on to her phone so she didn’t miss any messages that came in from them.
It was habit as a detective to know what was going on in her surrounding area, making it that she saw the guy glance in her direction. Returning the small smile, Juliet stepped to the side for a moment to get a better glance of the line. Deciding to start up a conversation with the guy who had been looking around. Juliet was a people person so her starting up a conversation with a stranger was nothing new to anyone who knew her.
“Let me guess you’re going to order the most fancy drink on the menu,” her tone showed she was only joking. He didn’t scream the type, which was why the silly joke, but hey, maybe he was into the basic drinks as some people enjoyed calling them for whatever reason. Juliet had no idea the reason behind the name only that some people called it that.
