If there was one thing Jinx hated more than being trapped under the stupid Dome, it was being trapped in high school for six hours a day. Worse, she couldn't wear her own clothes; every single day she'd been forced into her gym uniform because what she was wearing was "inappropriate"; something else Jinx didn't understand. She walked around dressed like this all the time back home and no one cared so why did they care here? Oh! She couldn't have any weapons either. Pow-Pow had to be left at home and Jinx didn't approve of that one bit. She felt vulnerable without her arsenal within her grasp. To top it all off, she was placed in remedial classes because she'd never had schooling in her entire life. It just gave Mylo more opportunities to call her stupid, which then led to her being kicked out of class for yelling at someone that wasn't there. Or, rather, they said wasn't there. Jinx knew otherwise. Obviously.
By the end of her first week, Jinx was fuming and disappointed. She'd actually been looking forward to being around other people her age, but they were all a bunch of dicks. They were Mylos...everywhere. Poking fun at her, laughing at her, and giving her horrible nicknames. The girls were the worse; they snubbed her every chance they could. The classwork was boring when Jinx didn't manage to get kicked out and it involved nothing she found remotely enjoyable. Bored and angry were the two worst things Jinx could be and by the time she stepped into the girl's bathroom after lunch, she'd had enough.
That morning, she'd secured herself an explosive that she convinced the school was for a science project. It wasn't. It was something to make her miserable existence at this school better. So, she set it off in the girl's bathroom, damaging stall doors and destroying one of the sinks in a colorful, smokey display of her talents. A few of the girls ended up with cuts and bruises and Jinx took a trip to the office where she was promptly suspended and her guardian was called. While Andy chatted with the principle, Jinx waited outside, in the car. She was in her normal clothes since her gym uniform was singed in the explosion. Whatever.
She fidgeted as she waited for him to return, feeling only slightly bad for what she had done. Andy wasn't the worst guy after all.
