Saying that she was furious at arriving here was a bit of an understatement. Although she was perfectly competent with modern day technology, she'd spent the whole night before trying to magic her way out of this place. As the firstborn of the Firstborn, there was very little that her magic couldn't do. Apparently getting her out of this place was one of those things.
Breaking some of the furniture in her room relieved some of the stress, as did throwing her phone out the window, only to wake up to a new one this morning. By daybreak, however, she realized that this wasn't really working either.
So she went out on a walk around the town. Her eyes were swirling like a stormy sea, and she wasn't trying to hide her emotions. Without even thinking, that walk led her to the closest water - a river. It wasn't the sea, but she knew those who controlled the rivers as well and water in any state would always be more comfortable than land. She sat down on the dead brown grass of the bank and stared out over the river, west towards the sunset.
She might have looked small and vulnerable, but there was something about her that radiated power, old power.
