WHO: Jinx and OTA WHERE: Streets of Madison Valley WHEN: Backdated to late New Year's Eve WARNINGS: Language, mental instability, potentially violence given Jinx's outbursts. SPOILERS? Some for Arcane, but I will do my best to keep it vague as possible
It took Jinx a moment to realize she wasn't in Zaun anymore. It took her longer to realize the screams in her ears were her own and, despite the change of scenery, Vi was still gone. She'd lost her sister again and the bleeding wound on her calf was the proof none of it had been a nightmare or hallucination. The sidewalk rushed up to meet the blue haired girl and she clung to Pow-Pow, her machine gun, as if it was a stuffed animal and not the deadly piece of artillery it actually was.
Jinx let out another blood curling scream and closed her eyes to keep the tears at bay. In her head, the voices of Clagor and Mylo raged. As always, Mylo was the loudest, proclaiming her failure to protect her sister. How she was and would always be just bad luck. The reason her sister was kidnapped or worse, dead. Jinx growled and pushed herself up, ignoring the blood dribbling down the side of her leg in favor of verbally addressing the accusations.
"I didn't lose her, alright? They took her," Jinx retorted loudly. "It was the Enforcer; she must have had something to do with it."
Before the voices started in again, ripping what remained of Powder apart, the sound of explosions started going off all around her. Jinx instinctively raised her weapon, verbally chastising her adopted brothers to shut up as colors exploded across the night sky, bathing her and her new surroundings in bright light. She let out a slightly deranged laugh when she realized it was just fireworks and her grip on her weapon slackened. Of course, now she had entirely different problem than losing her sister. She'd lost herself too. This was not Zaun, this was nowhere she'd ever seen before and she looked around her with wide eyes.
"I did not get lost! It was just poof! We were here, alright? I had nothing to do with it." Jinx hissed to the empty, cold night air. "Shut up!"
