“I’d say it sounds like you guys deserve the break and I’m glad Madison is a nice change for that,” she told him with a smile. There was also the fact that if he wasn’t in Madison, then she never would’ve met him so she was glad he was here for a selfish reason as well. “I think this place is weirder for a lot of people. I know it sure as hell is normal to a degree compared to back home while also being weirder when it’s throwing the weird stuff.” When it wasn’t doing that, the town was normal and nicer compared to back home, which was what she needed right now in her life.
When he turned, Rowan placed a kiss on his lips rather than his cheek. Though instead of pulling back quickly, she kissed him softly, then pulled back. Focusing back on what she had been doing since she didn’t know how he felt and definitely did not want to make things awkward. Instead, changing the conversation as if that never happened since now the ball was in his court on if anything was going to happen.
