Re: Rebekah and Loki
Perhaps another one of her siblings would have held such a show of emotion against Loki, but Rebekah was not one of them. Out of all her siblings, she tended to be the most emotional and could appreciate, even respect someone willing to exhibit such emotion in front of a near stranger.
At his words, Rebekah nodded and gave him a small smile. She'd come to grips with losing most of her family, but the thought of them did often leave her with a longing that never quite went away. No matter what they did, she loved them.
His statement made him endearing to the vampire and at that moment, she decided she liked him. In those few moments they'd chatted, he'd made more of an impact on her than many she'd known before. If he could stand beside a self-professed killer, a vampire, and still see her for more than simply what she was, then he was worth knowing. He was a special individual indeed.
Rebekah smiled at him, a real, genuine smile. "Such a statement means more to me than anything else. For someone to see beyond what I am is not an easy feat. You are quite a unique, insightful individual, Loki."
