At the statement, Mary laughed. "I'll take your word for it," she replied playfully.
Mary wasn't good with gifts. She supposed it was because most of her gift-giving involved weaponry of some kind or just gift cards. Lately, it had been the latter since she couldn't exactly give Katie or DJ a rifle. Not that she would want to anyway. They didn't have to be hunters here and Mary wanted to keep it that way.
"I don't mean to be. Just...most of the gifts I ever got in my life revolved around being a hunter," Mary explained, smiling wavering on her lips. "Which doesn't help you , I know. But it's not like you're easy to buy for either. I can't even get you a weapon because you practically are one."
Mary gave him a half-smile. He didn't want to know some of the creepy legends about Saint Nick that she knew about it. Letters were the last thing he deserved in most of them...unless they contained some kind of explosive.
