Who: Dick and Barbara What: Dinos When: Friday Where: The streets Rating: low
Dick had fought a lot of weird people and creatures, but actual dinosaurs were not on that list. Croc was almost like a dinosaur, but it still wasn't the same. When it was clear that chaos had started to ensure, Dick had grabbed his Nightwing suit and headed out.
The thing about dinosaurs was that they were animals. They weren't driven by the wants and needs as a person and they didn't have ego to hurt either. In some ways it made things easier and in some ways, harder.
He didn't really have a plan when he left, but when he came across Barbara, that was where he would stay. He jogged up to her. Unlike someone who didn't know her, Dick didn't suggest it'd be safer for her inside. It'd be safer for the dinosaurs. "I saw some pterodactyls lift up some people and head North. Want to tag along?"

Barbara had gone out with the original plan of getting some holiday shopping done. Thankfully, she only had a few people around here who she had to get gifts for, but it was still the task of deciding what to get those people. That plan changed with all the chaos of dinosaurs, something she never thought she’d ever see or even think about. People had warned her this town was strange, and she had a feeling this was a small taste of that strangeness.
Turning down once again another person's offer to help her inside, Barbara was annoyed. Yes, they were trying to be nice, but she hated how people felt or assumed she was helpless because of her ordeal. No, she was sticking outside with the intention of helping out anyone who needed it. Feeling the presence of someone approaching, she was ready for the offer of someone trying to help the damsel, only to find the person was Dick. A huge smile appeared on her face at his question. This was one of the many reasons why she liked Dick, because he never treated her any differently or treated her like she was breakable like some people did. "There is no way I’m sitting this out," she confirmed, figuring he probably already knew that was her answer as she turned her chair around to head in the direction that he had said.

“Good because you know I need someone to watch my back.” This was true regardless, but Dick actually felt better that it was Barbara who would be out and watching his back. He knew better than to underestimate her. He’d done that a few times when they had been younger and it never worked out for him.
They headed in that direction with purpose. It was easy to tell they were going in the right direction when people were running toward them looking panicked. “Any idea on a game plan?” Would they get in trouble if they killed a dinosaur? He wasn’t going to think too hard on that if it meant saving lives.
When they turned the corner and came to a clearing, he realized there were a lot of toddler-sized dinosaurs. He didn’t know the name, but they had teeth of a carnivore. “Well… at least it’s not a T-Rex.”

"Oh, I know, and you know I always have your back." She knew how Dick could be, but no matter what, she’d always have his back. Just like she knew how sometimes she needed to have her back watched, and the person she’d trust for that was always going to be Dick. The sight of people running in the opposite direction of the direction they were heading, looking terrified, probably would have caused some people to turn around. But she and Dick had never been or would ever be those types of people.
His question caused her to glance over at him for a moment. "The game plan is don’t get ourselves killed because if you do, then I’ll find a way to bring your ass back around here and kill you myself," her tone was serious, showing her concern was more on his life than her own. She couldn't bear the thought of losing him again. Trying not to think too much about it or hoping he didn’t read too much into it other than her worrying about him, which was nothing new. "And also make sure everyone is safe or on their way to safety," was about the only game plan she had right now, given that she wasn't sure what this place offered in terms of safety. "Do you have any idea how these things ended up here?" Barbara figured maybe that might give her a slightly better game plan on what to do considering she didn’t want to kill them unless it was needed. Then again, based on what she was seeing of the dinosaurs, she figured it was going to happen considering the ones she had seen roaming around so far.
Pulling out her batons from under her seat at the sight of the dinosaurs, she hit him gently with one of her batons for his comment. "I swear if a T-rex comes around that corner," she shook her head, "I won’t be treating you to dinner later after we deal with this. You want to take right and I take left?" Her brain may have been still trying to wrap around what was in front of her, but that wouldn’t throw her off the whole keeping people safe.
