Rachel arched an eyebrow when she heard Dick's voice. Mainly, when she heard what he said. She wasn't exactly sure what the occasion was for pizza, but she wasn't about to complain. Pizza was delicious. "Couldn't spring for burgers, then?" she asked, as she came out of her room and into the kitchen. She was joking, and she hoped Dick realized that.
"What occasion calls for pizza?" she asked, as she opened the box and took a slice. "Are you finally going to tell me what Barbara told you about home?" No, she hadn't forgotten. She knew Dick was likely hoping she would. That's not how she was, though. When she set her mind to something, she rarely let up.
