Re: Alec McDowell and Peter Parker
Peter wasn't sure why they were being partner, but he supposed that they might need to stagger folks in groups. Since he and Alec were alone, that meant the two of them needed to go in together.
"Yeah, Alec, right?"
It made sense; the line was already extremely long. Peter would have elected to go on Halloween with Ned, but he was sure it was going to be even worse then and he had a paper due and an AP Physics test the next day.
Peter learned a lot about physics by webswinging through Queens, but that real world application didn't really prepare him for the types of exams they took here.
The two of them were ushered inside, the doors shutting closed behind them with an loud, dense thump that echoed into the growing darkness. The inside of the haunted house was strangely much colder than outside and Peter was suddenly grateful he remembered to grab his hoodie.
"You go to any haunted houses before?" he asked, taking his first few steps inside. Electric candle sconces abruptly turned on as they continued down the hallway; the others went out behind them. Peter was pretty sure they were being triggered by motion sensors. For a haunted house, they had really pulled out the stops. None of the ones he went to back home were anywhere near as sophisticated.
