Who: Martha and OPEN What: Lunch take out goes wrong When: Lunch Time Where: Outside of the Red Pepper. Rating: low
The sun finally making an appearance was much appreciated. The amount of mischief some of the youth had gotten into during the ‘forever night’ had resulted in several injuries - most of the minor, but it was still a lot to deal with. Martha was hopeful that today would be a new day and a less busy day at the clinic.
She left at lunch and headed to the Red Pepper for a sandwich - she was craving it. She ordered a sandwich with extra pickles on the side and an iced coffee and managed to get out of the restaurant only to experience a catastrophe. Some idiot had been driving on the sidewalk in their Vespa and that meant Martha needed to dodge him so she wouldn’t get hit. This also resulted in Martha’s expertly crafted sandwich and drink flying in the air and landing on the ground. The coffee cup split and spilled its brown contents all over and the impact had both ripped the paper the sandwich was wrapped in and scattered its contents everywhere. Even the extra pickles fell victim to this fate. Perhaps equally annoying in the man on the Vepsa lifted a hand and yelled ‘sorry!’ but sped off regardless.
Martha was left standing there, her adrenaline pumping, and staring in shock at her ruined lunch.
