Who: Alex and Dieter What: a date Where: Empress of China When: Sat evening Warnings: TBD
Did Alex worry about going on an actual date with someone? Yup. Would she actually give voice to her concern? Not a snowball's chance in hell. But, life on the streets and living in squalor with Len didn't really allow for date nights. Whatever money she managed to steal or panhandle went to drugs, food, or makeup. Not dates. Besides, she and Len barely tolerated each other when they lived together. And then end of their relationship well...Alex knew how it ended and didn't regret a second of it. Her one an only regret remained with Darlington's current status.
So, Alex prepped for the date, complete with makeup the girls at Yale might wear, not the glitter shit she and Hellie liked to wear. Sometimes she missed dressing in bright colours and glitter, but it also came with less than fond memories. Besides, as Rebekah's assistant, she needed to keep up a professional appearance.
The lack of sunshine should probably bother Alex more than it actually bothered her. Sunshine belonged to happy and peaceful people, neither of which generally described Alex. Her life belonged in the shadows, with the greys, and the dark side of Yale's societies.
When she finally arrived at the restaurant, she realized she arrived second. Probably due to her needing a minute of deep breaths to steady her nerves. God, she missed pot sometimes. "Hello, Dieter."
