Who: Rebekah Mikaelson & Open What: Drinking way too much When: Thursday evening Where: Verdant Rating: TBD Status: Open; Incomplete; Could be a narrative if no one tags in.
Rebekah rarely drank heavily, but seeing as she'd just lost her brother to death once more and most of her family to home, she figured such a wretched occasion was long over due. Rebekah had already put away a few glasses of bourbon before she entered Verdant, but the alcohol running through her blood stream only made the vampire slightly shaky on her heels. She claimed a seat at the bar and ordered a bourbon and then another...then another.
Rebekah sighed, staring down into the nearly empty glass of bourbon in her hand. She'd lost count of how many she'd put away, but it was enough to draw attention to herself. The bartender was looking at her with curious, if not somewhat fearful eyes, and she guessed it was because he'd rarely seen a woman of her height and statue take down so many drinks in so short of time. Rebekah didn't care. She down the rest of her drink and accidentally slammed the glass on the bar hard enough that it shattered. Well, so much for keeping up the charade.
Rebekah threw down some cash on the bar, more than enough to cover everything including the glass, and attempted to not stumble as she left Verdant. The cool night air did nothing to clear her muddled head. Rebekah slowly started towards home, doing her best not trip over herself as she walked. It was an astounding difficult task for someone that had been on their feet for over a thousand years.
A step and then another and Rebekah stumbled, losing her balance, and falling to the ground. Her knees hit the sidewalk and her hands scrapped the concrete with enough force to draw a small sliver of blood across her palm. Oh bloody hell.
Rebekah sighed and sat back. "Bloody hell this place. You took my brother, my sister, her wife, and my nephew and now? Now you take my bloody favorite pair of jeans too." Rebekah moved to push herself back up again.
"You sure know how to kick a girl when she is already down."
