Scott was aware that some of his pack were trying to be helpful with the loss of Stiles and Malia and he understood. He appreciated it, even, considering he usually had to worry about everyone else all the time. The truth was, he missed his best friend and his girlfriend, but he tried to think about it positively. Stiles had a hard time fitting in here and was unhappy a lot of the time, even with Cora, so he hoped Stiles would be happier back home doing the FBI thing he heard would happen with him. Malia was harder to find a silver lining, but he knew that he and her started to date back home, so hopefully his at-home self did a good job of keeping her happy... even if trying to think about how that made sense hurt his brain a little.

They had ordered the werewolf special and were currently waiting for their food as they sat at a table. It was hard not to think about how so many people who left had been supernaturals, but he tried not to think there was some nefarious reason for it.

"So, how's it going? You're still good staying with Theo?.... and Lydia?" He was aware she spent a lot of time over there so he decided at her in.

Some of the people that had disappeared weren't people that Liam had known personally. The ones that he had known? Well, it was going to sting a bit to lose them. However, that tended to be a theme with the dome. He's just not sure it had ever been this many people.

Of course, he'd agreed to go to Hinkles with his alpha. They hadn't really spent as much time together as one should. Once he's seated across from the other he gives a nod at the question, or questions rather.

"Everything's going pretty good." He would need to reach out to Rowan again. He actually liked her and if she was up for it would want to get to know her better. "And I'm still good staying with Theo. It's a little weird, sometimes, when Lydia's there, but it isn't so bad."

He nodded a few times. "Yeah, I guess sometimes you might feel like a third wheel. I think Stiles felt that way occasionally before Cora showed up." He'd feel the same way too, if the roles were reversed. "If you ever need a break, it's just me and Mr. Stilinski now in the big house... I invited him because I thought maybe that would help a little with Stiles' disappearing." He had no idea if it would help or not though.

"How's school? Is coach giving you a hard time?"

"I don't think it's that I feel like a third wheel, exactly," Liam states. It was a bit more than that, really. Maybe it was just the oddness that was Theo and Lydia together. As long as they were both happy, however, he didn't care. He gives his alpha a slight smile," Thanks, I'll have to take you up on that at some point." Even if it was just to give Theo and Lydia a bit of privacy. "How is Mr. Stilinski taking it?" That had to be hard.

"When isn't coach giving someone a hard time?" He counters. "School is actually going pretty good. We don't have to worry about too much here, and that's nice."

"Uh, well... I think he's taking it okay? I don't think he'd let on if he wasn't, just like how my mom wouldn't if she were here." Which was a little bit annoying, but he'd do the same thing so he probably shouldn't talk. "But he's dating someone named Linda, so I think that helps. He wants me to meet her at some point. So... there's that?"

Scott smiled as he rubbed the back of his neck. It was all new territory for Scott, but he grew up with Mr. Stilinski so he was kind of like another dad to him.

"Yeah. It's way better not having to hide what you are and if you lose control a little, other kids at school have been there too so it's less awkward. I actually didn't hate going here for my senior year. Thankfully Hanover has a veterinary program so I didn't have to figure out what else I'm good at here."

"Adults don't really tell us when something is bothering them," He states. That? He knows for a fact. He's been down that road quite a few times in his life. He's not sure who Linda is, he doesn't think, but nods," I'm sure the meeting will go good. I mean if he likes her, there shouldn't be a problem. Right?"

He gives him a bit of a smile," I don't know what I'm going to do after high school. I haven't really thought that far ahead. Though, there's a bit to choose from here in Madison."

He nodded. Liam was right, adults never really told people what was bothering them. Scott guessed he was technically considered an adult, but that was super weird to think about so he pushed it aside for now. It was funny how you often as a kid you wanted to 'grow up' and then once you were there, you wanted to back to being a kid.

"Yeah. I mean, there's almost everything... except I guess the whole law enforcement thing." Which had to suck for Noah a lot too. "I wonder if you could get a scholarship for sports. I mean, if you wanted to do the whole college thing. And I'm sure Theo could get you a job working at the place he works if you want a part time job. Or a full time job."

His stomach growled and he looked a little sheepish as he laughed. "I guess my stomach's looking forward to food." He hadn't been eating a lot since Stiles and Malia left, not that he'd outwardly say so. "Hey, have you ever gone for a run with some of the wolves from Elena's pack?"

Scott was, unfortunately, part of those adults now. Luckily, his beta wasn't about to point that out to him. No need to ruin the illusion just yet. Maybe in a couple of years, but not right now.

"I wonder why they don't want outsiders in law enforcement." It's idle and more of a rhetorical thing than anything else. "Unless, of course, they're scared that we'll give each other special treatment or something." As for the scholarship thing," Maybe. We'll see."

That sheepish look gets a bit of a laugh out of Liam," Guess so. As for running with Elena's pack, no. I spoke with Logan before he disappeared, though."

"They're pretty cool. I run with Nick sometimes. I thought about offering to run with Kate since she lost Logan and Isaac, but I thought her own family and pack probably had that covered." Even if Isaac hadn't wanted to be part of Scott's pack, it didn't stop Scott from wanting to protect him.

"I know you can't exactly promise, but I really hope you're staying here for a while. It felt really weird when I got here and there was just Allison." He laughed and smiled, but it wasn't just a weird feeling. Liam was Scott's first 'real' beta. Like Gerard had said once, an alpha and their beta had a bond and it had sort of felt like Scott was walking around with a string that had been cut and now it felt like he was 'whole' again.... or something like that. Scott had no idea how to explain it and he was sure it would be weird to say it out loud.

"Maybe I'll have to start reaching out to them." It was just weird, in a way, to be reaching out to a different pack. He knows that it isn't a betrayal of any sort, no matter what it felt like. "I'm sure that they do." That pack seemed to be one big family, so Kate's mom probably had things covered. Not that he knows much about Elena.

He gives Scott a bit of a grin," Trust me, I hope that I stay for a while too. As for that being weird, I bet." Why wouldn't it be weird? Being the only one in a strange place with... well, the dead girlfriend. Ex-girlfriend? He wasn't sure how that worked exactly.

It couldn't be any stranger than being told the bite was a gift, could it? Or Scott and Stiles deciding to kidnap him when he first turned.

"You don't have to, but I think we're stronger if we all stick together." Scott wasn't the sort of alpha that needed to be the sole 'top dog' which was probably a good thing since they were stuck in a dome.

The food came and Scott's stomach announced its excitement at the food. He laughed at himself. "How about we dig in and you tell me how the first month of school's been?"
