Kate had been through a lot in her life, but she was nothing if not a survivor. Somehow she always managed to find her way, so she was sure that this place wouldn't be any different. Though even she had to admit that she was getting tired of having to deal with this kind of stuff. All she really wanted was some peach and quiet. She had been so close to completing her mission for Chris and then she had a chance at a normal life....but then she had found herself here. In some ways it felt like she was having to start all over again, because even Chris didn't remember all she had done to redeem herself. Though in the past year she had came to one important conclusion; it didn't matter how the others saw. If she still saw herself as a monster then she was one, but if she made the choice to nurture the other side of herself then she had the potential to be more. So, that was the promise she was making to herself now. The others didn't have to let her in or even believe her. She could take this chance to make a new life for herself, and perhaps it would be even better than the one she could have made back in Beacon Hills. With this renewed sense of purpose Kate woke up and decided to go out for tea instead of having it at home. She was looking forward to the chance to get out of the apartment, and perhaps learn more about this place she was about to try and make a new life in. She may not be a hunter anymore, but she still believed that the best way to live was to know your surroundings. The more she knew about this place, the easier it would be to make a life for herself and not step on anyone's toes....because the last thing she wanted was conflict. As she made her way into the tea shop she had found she made sure to have a look around, clocking every single entrance and exit. Old habits die hard after all. Once she was sure the room was safe for the time being she made her way over to the counter and placed her order and then found a table with her tea and pastry. She was just about to dig in when she heard the bell signaling that the door had been opened once again. So, she looked up to see who would be joining her this morning. |
