Mary had seen a lot in her young life. Most of it was pretty damn bad and consisted of material that would give even the toughest nightmares. Demons, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and all sorts of other things that came back to make human beings their bitches on Earth. She'd killed her share of them too; being a hunter, it came with the territory. Saving people. Hunting things. The family business. A really shitty business most of the time.
However, despite being raised to expect the worst, Mary was trying hard to change that, especially where Alec was concerned. Madison Valley had taught her to keep an open mind where supernaturals were concerned and Mary was giving Alec the benefit of the doubt. After all, if he was evil or had evil intentions, he wouldn't have saved the kid and they probably definitely wouldn't have fought side by side in the other Madison Valley either. No, Mary was confident that whatever Alec told her didn't involve him being evil. There could definitely be some heavy baggage there, as there seemed to be with most people in Madison Valley, but Mary didn't think he was evil.
She stepped into Lou's and scanned the room, spotting Alec sitting at one of the empty booths. She made her way over, offering him a smile as she slid into the empty seat across from him.
