Re: Liz P and Peter P
Peter pushed the door open -- hard enough that it cracked hard against the creature's snout. The dino dropped the gyrosphere, more likely out of surprise than out of genuine pain. The creature was tough -- tough enough that as Peter slammed against the glass of the gyrosphere, it was already lunging down at it to pluck it up again.
Peter just barely managed to push himself out of the door of the gyro as it rolled away from the dino's snapping maw; Jimmy Fallon's voice suddenly sparked to life as the cracked monitor spit out glowing white light.
"--and welcome to the gyrosphere, an amazing machine made possible by science."
As Peter scrambled to his feet, the gyrosphere continued to roll away -- far slower than it had been immediately after the drop -- and the creature (was this the Indominus? Peter had just gotten his first good look at it) still had its attention on it (it was the Indominus, Peter realized).
A chill rolled up Peter's spine; his stomach had already been clenched tightly before they had even dropped, but now it was even tighter than it ever had been before. He swallowed back the nausea as best as he could to wave his arms.
"Hey!" he shouted at the Indominus. "Hey!" It turned away from the gyrosphere and looked at him with one blinking eye, as if sizing him up. "Over here!"
