Brooke couldn’t help but frown at hearing what he said. It sucked to hear both of them died whether it was in this other Madison or back in their own world. “It’s never easy knowing someone you care about ends up dead or how you’ll be dead,” she knew she wasn’t dead, but Brooke had thought she was for a bit. Until remembering how her best friend had been further down the timeline and both were very much alive. “I won’t press for any questions on it since that’s your business, but if you ever want to talk about it, I’m around.” As much as she was wanting to hear what happened, she knew it wasn’t an easy topic to discuss considering she didn’t do it for herself. But she left the door open for him whether he accepted it or not was a different story.
Faking a pout, she looked over at him. “It seemed very personal. I mean I cried because you rejected me,” Brooke hoped he knew nothing coming out of her mouth was the truth. Please, there was no way she was crying over a rejection especially since they missed out on a fun time. “But seriously it’s fine. Plus I’d much rather take the one I know for a wild ride at some point,” she would’ve winked if it wasn’t for the sunglasses so instead she had a little smirk on her lips. Hey, it wasn’t her fault she was a pro at teasing while still being serious on what she said.
“Oh it shouldn’t be that hard to get a lot of sun before classes start back up. If I don’t, then I’ll just do some studying outside to get more color until winter arrives.” Brooke’s list of exes was a little complicated and not exactly opening the door to friendships; however, she thought it was cool when someone was able to maintain that friendship with an ex. “Makes it easier with you two both being around here. Really suck if you had your ex ready to destroy you for whatever reason and have them stuck here as well,” she replied with a small laugh.
