Rose and Xavier
Rose hadn't expected him to take her hand and thread her fingers with his own. The touch made her heart pick up pace in her chest and she squeezed the fingers gently. She hadn't experienced such a thing since Joe and Rose took comfort in it. She scooted closer and placed her head lightly on his shoulder, looking over at him with a playful smile before her eyes shifted to the sky.
"Look at you. The firework expert," Rose teased gently. "I only can say I like the ones that look like they are going to come crashing down on you." Fighting techniques and weaponry Rose could write a book about, but things like fireworks? She was clueless. It occurred to her that maybe she was clueless about most things besides violence and death. She pushed the thought from her head.
"I'm sure they have it. If not, I could always go and threaten to punch someone in the face if they don't shoot off at least one just for you."
