Rose and Xavier
Rose could only attempt to imagine what that was like. She'd died once herself, but Lissa had used her healing abilities to bring Rose back to life. It left her shadow kissed and connected to Lissa. Both had been rather freaky experiences for a teenager, especially being able to see the dead. Though being shadow kissed gave her an edge in protecting Lissa, she was relieved in a way that the two were no longer connected.
"I can only imagine how tough that is," Rose replied honestly. "When I was younger, I actually died myself. If it wasn't for my friend, Lissa, I wouldn't be here right now. It left me shadow kissed for a time so I could see ghosts actually because part of me was still stuck in that world too. It ended and I don't possess that ability anymore."
And he died in early July. Rose was surprised that he had wanted to be among people given what this part of the month represented, but it only testified to how strong of a character he possessed. Though he said it with no bitterness, Rose reached out and briefly touched his shoulder in comfort. She wasn't sure she had words to offer in any kind of comfort for such a situation. She just hoped the gesture was enough.
Rosemarie Rose. The brunette broke into a smile. "I don't know. You're the one that invited me to sit on this blanket with you instead of sitting in the grass and by myself. I'd say I might have hit the jackpot on this one."
