Leo finally had their new place organized and primped the way he thought would work for the two of them. It wasn't all about him and his new-found passion for interior decorating. Almost everything had been picked out with Veronica in mind. This was her place, too, and she'd made a big step by buying a house with Leo. That didn't get lost on him amidst picking out drape patterns with Logan.

Now that he was done moving this here or that there so it was just right, he decided to make breakfast for the two of them. It was getting warmer so he was just in a pair of boxers as he cut up some fruit to go with the yogurt. He felt it was too warm for bacon, eggs, or anything like that. Juice, coffee, yogurt, fruit, cheese, etc. but he was relying on the coffee to draw Veronica out of bed.

Coffee was the best way to lure Veronica out of bed and she padded into the kitchen wearing a pair of boxers and a camisole, her hair tied up on top of her head in a messy bun. "Morning," she muttered, making a beeline for the coffee pot and pouring herself a mug. She leaned back against the counter and took a long drink before saying anything else.

"So when are you going to be done with this whole decorating thing?" she asked. It didn't really bother her, though she thought it was a little weird that Logan was apparently his partner in these endeavors. She just wanted to know when the house would be done.

	Leo took a long look at her when she came into the kitchen. The sight was definitely worth a long, dedicated like someone in a museum look. He sighed in appreciation as he smiled. Veronica was still half asleep and bleary-eyed so she didn't notice the look. If she had, she would have thought he was insane.

"Oh good," she said. "Does that mean you're done having dates with my ex?" It felt a little weird referring to Logan as her ex considering that their relationship hadn't exactly ended by their choice, but it was still the most accurate descriptor she could come up with.

	"Well, there might be a few manly drinks in our future," he admitted. It was just as weird for him, though. Logan seemed to want a friend from home. Hanging out with Veronica was too awkward so Leo was it. "How are you with all of that?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

That was a good question and one Veronica wasn't sure if she had an answer for so she sipped her coffee to buy herself an extra few moments before responding. "I want him to be happy," she said. "And if being bros with you achieves that, then I can deal with it." Even though it was weird.

She paused before continuing. "Is he okay? I mean... settling in and all that?"

	Leo wasn't sure how to answer that because he wanted Veronica to fill Logan in on what had happened. He wasn't going to pressure her, however, so he just smiled as he sat down at the table. "He's doing ok," he said. "Seems to be settling in." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Good," she said, refilling her mug before moving to the table. "I want him to be happy," she said again. He deserved it.

Veronica sighed. "I know I have to tell him about the future at some point." Well, his future. Her past. God, time travel gave her a headache. "It would be wrong of me to keep that from him, right?" There was a slightly pleading tone in her question as if asking for absolution from needing to share something painful and traumatic with someone she loved.

	"I don't know about wrong," he said. It was true. He'd been giving it a lot of thought, putting himself in Logan's shoes, Veronica's. He couldn't come up with an answer. "I feel pretty confident that he'd want to know." That much he did know. "You want me to tell him?" It was a viable option that might spare Veronica and Logan both some ugliness. Veronica was surprised by the offer and her immediate instinct was to say 'yes please' to save herself and Logan from that awkwardness. After a moment, she shook her head. "No, I need to do it," she said. "And I will. I just... need a little more time."

How do you have that conversation? Especially when she still carried so much guilt over feeling responsible for his death. "I might want you there though," she said.

He knew she'd be tempted to let him do it. In this case, he would be glad to instead of nudging her in the right direction. This might be a bit too much to deal with. But she said the right thing.

"Whatever you want," he said with a nod and a smile. She'd been dealing with this pretty well. He was proud of her, but sometimes you didn't tell Veronica Mars that. You just showed it in hugs, letting her pick what they watched, or getting up before her to make breakfast.
