Lola nodded a few times in sympathy. His upbringing wasn't that great and his teenage years were definitely something better off left in the past. It had only been recently with meeting Charlie that Lola had managed to come to terms with some of it.
"Well thank you. And for what it's worth, you sound like a woman who I'd have liked to have as a guardian if I showed up here in my youth. Definitely better than some people."
She glanced to the stage and realized it was almost time for the second act. "You'll have to excuse me. No rest for the wicked, am I right?" She smiled. "Please enjoy the rest of the night, Linda."
