Who: Harry Dresden and Hermann Gottleib What: New friends? Where: In town When: Weekend Warnings: Not likely Status: Closed
Harry wasn't sleeping well. That, he supposed, was to be expected. After all, he was supposed to be dead. And yet he was here. Murphy was here. No one else that he knew from home, for better or worse. So far, no sign of Mister or Mouse, or Bob. Maybe that was for the best, but dang, he sure would like Mister at least. Mouse had a job to do, protecting Maggie, but Harry missed them both terribly.
He wasn't sure what to make of Madison Valley. It was a quiet little town, at least on the surface, if one ignored the fact that a dome covered the city and kept the citizens firmly in place. Taking that into consideration, it seemed to be a glorified prison of sorts, and that? Made Harry Dresden nervous. Who, or what, was behind the dome? How did they keep it maintained 24/7? How did people get in, and out? Supposedly no one could leave, there was no way past the dome, yet several people had told Harry that people come and go all the time. There had to be a chink in the armor, and Harry was going to do his damnedest to find it.
The first step was to examine the dome. He just...had to find it first. WHich was what had him out early on a Saturday morning, looking for the literal edge of town.
