"I know you're right," he said, sighing. "Really, I do. But I've already had to deal with this pain once, I'm not looking forward to dealing with it again."
He knew he didn't really have much of a choice, though. He had too many people that wouldn't let him wallow for long, Teyla included. She was just the least pushy about it. It felt different having this conversation with her. Less stressful. Teyla was good at that, though, at being a calm presence when someone needed it.
"I think she would be grateful for you if she knew," he said after a moment. "For this. The fact that you're being supportive in this way."
