Ty knew if Tandy wanted to date someone she could. Objectively speaking, she was attractive. Not that Ty spent much time thinking of her that way. It was like thinking a hypothetical sister was hot. But, if Tandy wasn't dating? That was her choice.
But, he also realized that dating came with baggage that Tandy might not be ready to handle. For quite a while it had been her and Liam, but that ended in a fucking disaster of disasters. And then it had been him and Tandy. Not in a romantic sense, but in a 'we have each other and that's it' sense. Yeah, Brigid and Evi had been in their lives, but not in the same way. At the end of the day, Tandy and Ty could count on each other to save themselves. It's not like the other two were the Divine Fucking Pair.
Ty went to adjust himself. And then of course Lizzie's fears entered his brain. He'd been doing so well with his control. On the plus side, Lizzie didn't know him well enough to really notice the subtle expression change. But, Ty quietly excused himself to use the washroom and text Tandy.
He'd be fine in a minute or two, but needed the space.
