Linda, Trixie, and Maze eat dinner.
Who: Linda, Maze, Trixie
What: girls' night dinner

Linda didn't have many patients left, so when mid-afternoon happened, she ducked out so she'd be home by the time Trixie arrived. She'd swung by the daycare to pick up Charlie. He was just waking up from his nap, so she had times it rather well.

Charlie might fall asleep again, but he was a baby. She hoped not, so she could sleep tonight. When Linda got home, she got all the ingredients ready for pico de galla. She made sure Charlie was fed and on his playmat, so Trixie could spend time with him.

When she heard a knock, she went to open the door. "Hi!"

Normally a grumpy demon, Mazikeen was actually in a good mood. She was spending time with her two favorite humans. Well, for her, it didn't get better than that. Plus, she'd had a decent day at work and there was the promise of dinner and margaritas in her future.

Per Linda's request, she'd stopped by the store to pick up a top shelf tequila. Along with that, she'd picked up a small chocolate cake, complete with sprinkles because who didn't love sprinkles? Even Mazikeen loved fucking sprinkles. Arriving at Linda's door, she knocked, expertly holding the two bags in her other hand with a touch of demon strength to help.

Linda opened the door and Mazikeen beamed. "Hey!" She stepped inside, moving to set her cake down before holding out the tequila for Linda.

"I got us the top shelf. Only the best for my two favorite humans."

	Trixie had initially planned to go straight to Linda's after school, but she ended up having a bunch of homework, so she'd gone home to get that done first. She was all smiles when she got to Linda's apartment though, looking forward to having dinner with her grown up friends without her mom or Lucifer. "It's me!" she called when she knocked on the door. Yes, Maze had her childish moments and some of them happened to involve sprinkles...or sharing Halloween candy with Trixie. Speaking of Trixie, that knock totally signaled her favorite little human was here and accounted for.

"Hey Trixie," Maze greeted once the girl was inside, giving her a rare smile. "How are you doing? How's that boring place you go everyday? School, right?"

Mazikeen was tempted to ask how grannie panties was and Lucifer the liar, but she kept it to herself. She didn't want to ruin the time with her friends because of her own anger at the devil.

	The way that Maze referred to school made Trixie giggle. "Yes, it's school," she said. "And it's not so bad. My friend, Penny, is there with me, at least." And some of the town kids were kind of friendly sometimes. "Things would be better if Mare would go away though," she added, scrunching her nose in distaste. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Linda decided to leave the subject of Mare alone, unless she was directly asked. The point was to give Trixie a night with her and Maze, and Linda needed to spend time with friends. Granted, it was weird her friend was actually her friend's 12yo daughter, but things were weird.

She did say, "I'm glad you have a friend there. Is Penny also a refugee?"

To Maze she handed a double shot margarita. To Trixie, she handed her a mocktail. For herself, the same as Maze.

	"I like Penny's guardian. She's pretty cool." Mazikeen accepted the double shot margarita and took a sip. It was delightful; it was totally worth splurging on that top shelf tequila. Part of Mazikeen wanted to prod Trixie about Mare. Her dislike of the girl reminded her a lot of Mazikeen's dislike of Lucifer...at the moment anyway. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Yeah, she is," Trixie agreed with Maze. "And yes, she got here kind of around the same time as me," she explained to Linda. "So we've been friends for a while since there's not a lot of kids our age around."

Trixie took a sip of her drink, pleased to be included even though she knew hers didn't include alcohol. Maze might let her get away with a lot, but Linda would never do something that would upset her mom.

"I'm glad you have a friend your own age, and not just us," Linda said. Kids needed to be around other kids.

Linda thought she'd done a good job on the drinks. She excused herself to bring in chips, spicy pico de gallo, and plates.

"Help yourself! Any summer plans yet, Trixie?" Yeah, Linda was not about to do anything that would upset Chloe, especially not when it came to Trixie. She appreciated her closest mom friend too much.

	Mazikeen would have allowed Trixie to take a small sip of her margarita if Linda wasn't present. Maze liked Chloe just fine, but that didn't mean she respected all of her rules. Decker could be super uptight. "We should all do something. Like go to Disney World this summer," Maze pipped up, digging into the chips and spicy pico de gallo. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Trixie grinned at Maze's suggestion. "Yes! That would be awesome. I told my mom about the trips. And Sabrina is going to try to make some kind of camp thing for us at the Settlement." "I think Disney would be a lot of fun," Linda replied with a smile. She brought out dinner, which took a few trips, and laid everything on the table. This way everyone could build their tacos how they liked.

"I want to take Charlie to Disney, but I think this summer might be lost on him. He's a bit young. Oh! That's a great idea of Sabrina's!" Linda took another sip of her drink, because Maze and Trixie should build their tacos first.

Charlie was asleep in his swing. Linda had placed him in there while they ate. But she was sitting so she faced him.

"If we can get grann-I mean your mom to agree, I'll take some vacation time for it." Mazikeen started putting together her tacos, filling it with beef, cheese, and some sour cream. Anytime she didn't have to attempt to cook herself, it was a good day and Linda's tacos were delicious.

Mazikeen paused to take a sip from her margarita. "Yeah, it would be lost on the little guy. He couldn't enjoy it. Mickey wouldn't probably make him crap his pants or something too. Best wait till he is older."

Plus then maybe Linda would be free to dress up as princess with Maze. Not that Maze would ever admit to that...

Tacos were awesome and Trixie did her best to fix her plate without making a mess. "Disney would be so fun," she said. "Especially if we get Penny and Penelope to come too." She and Penny were totally old enough that they could convince the adults to let them go off on their own for a little while.

"I bet Lucifer could keep Charlie so we can make it a girls trip," she added.

	Linda fixed herself a couple tacos with beans, meat, salsa, and some cheese. "Disney would be a lot of fun. I'm not sure Lucifer would want to babysit Charlie for that long, but maybe I can find a few people to help out, so I can go along. A girls' trip would be a lot of fun!" Mazikeen could not see Lucifer babysitting Charlie for that long either. He would definitely need help in that department.

"Yeah, Lucifer couldn't handle being a pseudo father for that long," Mazikeen replied, taking a bite from a taco. "Someone else would definitely need to step in."

However, a girls' trip sounded like a lot of fun for Mazikeen. If there was anyway she could make that happen, she definitely would help out. Even if it had to involve Lucifer somehow.
