Who: Sara Lance and Leonard Snart
What: Sara's cranky
Where: Her house
When: Late Friday
Warnings: tbd
Status: closed/complete

Being on crutches was getting incredibly annoying. For all the years Sara spent as an assassin, a vigilante, and a time-traveling superhero, she'd never actually fractured a bone or been injured in a way that side lined her for very long and patience was not one of her virtues. She kept forgetting about her injury and trying to do things that she really shouldn't because they caused pain and probably extended the time she was going to need to heal.

Which happened this evening when they ran out of a particular brand of whiskey and she decided to try and restock herself instead of asking for help. Luckily she hadn't dropped the booze, but her ankle was throbbing and she actually headed out before the club closed at the insistence of several of her employees.

By the time Leonard came home, she was in an exceptionally foul mood, seated on the couch with a half empty bottle of whiskey, her foot propped up on a pillow on the coffee table. She was so cranky that it didn't even phase her that she thought of it as Leonard 'coming home' despite the fact that he technically hadn't moved in. Yet.

"Any issues?" she asked.

It was, for the most part, weird seeing Sara out of commission. He can't remember a time that ever happened. If it happened after his death then he knew absolutely nothing about it. That would be something he would have to corner Constantine or someone on. Just to see what was up and what wasn't.

He'd known that she was at the club, even if she shouldn't of been, but he couldn't focus on that. Not when he had a job to do, as well. One that he enjoyed and everyone in that place knew it.

When he does come home (home, that was a funny concept), he notes where she's sitting before shaking his head at her question. If people gave him problems? He could handle it just fine on his own.

"No issues. You hungry?"

"Nah, I'm good," she said, holding up the whiskey bottle and taking another swig. She probably should eat, but Sara was in a bad mood and preferred to get drunk.

If she was feeling more generous, she'd tell him that he should probably leave and stay away from her for his own sake. Unfortunately, she wasn't feeling so magnanimous.

Leonard raises a brow when she says that she's good. That was a bold faced lie if he ever heard one. Last thing he was going to let her do was wallow in that mood. After all, there were kids that lived with her. On top of that? She wasn't going to fall down the hole that his old man had.

So, he moves over and kisses her forehead before turning and heading off straight into the kitchen. Whether she wanted it or not, he was going to make sure that she had food in her stomach. "Ham or turkey, Sara?" Honestly, it didn't matter what she told him, he'd still make it.

Sara rolled her eyes at the question though she realized that it was useless to fight with him. "Turkey," she said. More than anything, she was mad at herself for getting hurt in a stupid fight. After all the years of dangerous things she did, a fractured ankle from a fight club in middle America was not what she would have expected to take her down.

Even though she wasn't in the mood to admit it, she did appreciate everything he'd been doing for her since her injury.

Everyone, at some point or another, found out just how useless it was to fight with him over something. Even Mick knew that was a pointless thing to do. Which was one of the reasons his best friend hardly ever did it.

He makes two plates, one for her and one for himself, and brings them over with drinks. "Eat up. Your stomach will thank me for it later," he tells her. Especially if they had her on any type of pain medication.

While he was in the kitchen, Sara actually put aside her bottle and tried to mentally get herself together. Leonard didn't deserve her attitude and when he returned, she actually mustered up something approximating a smile.

"Thanks," she said. "Sorry for being a bitch."

"We all have our days, Sara," he tells her with a bit of a smile. "It's not like it's the end of the world or anything." He leans over and kisses her temple before settling in to eat his own sandwich.

"However, apology accepted."

"You've put up with a lot from me lately," Sara pointed out. And he'd done so without complaint. It was something of a test for their new relationship and she was pleasantly surprised that she hadn't managed to destroy it. Yet.

She took a bite of her sandwich, studying him as she did. "You're a good guy, you know that," she remarked. "You don't let many people see it though."

"I've dealt with a lot worse than what you've thrown at me," he points out, giving her a bit of a smirk. That wasn't to say that it was a good thing, but it was there. Out in the open.

He can't help but laugh at that last part," Is that what I am, Sara? A good guy. That's as bad as when you all tried to convince me I was a hero."

Sara shrugged. "I call them like I see them," she said. "We aren't bound to our pasts, Leonard. We can choose to be different. You did. You do every day." It was one of the things she really admired about him.

"If you weren't, I wouldn't be with you," she added.

It was still messed up, in a way, to hear her talking about him being one of the good guys. He'd had a hard time being considered a hero too. He does, however, give a bit of a smile. He'd conceed the point, for now.

"Then I guess it's a good thing I'm one of the good ones," he states, wrapping an arm around the back of the couch. "Let me know if you need anything else, Sara." A part of him wondered what Lisa and Mick would even think of all of this. He also found that he wouldn't care what they thought either.

"I'll throw a movie on and we'll relax for a while."

Relaxing with a movie and her boyfriend sounded like a pretty good plan to Sara so she took another bite of her sandwich and settled back against his arm, drawing comfort from his solid presence. This wasn't going so bad. Maybe she wouldn't fuck up this relationship.
