“Friend from back in your world?” She asked, hearing the name Maddie. Lorna was having some fun, and Xander was nice, which was a good thing cause she didn’t think this place could handle her with someone like her. Lorna was pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to handle it, knowing the person would most likely piss her off.
Lorna could sorta understand that. She wasn’t a big ocean or water person; however, she wouldn’t trade her city life for anything else. Only the dome didn’t care and brought her right back to a town similar to the one she left behind years ago or had until recently when making a visit. “And I think there are boats you can rent to go out on the lake?” Another thing, she wasn’t completely sure on considering it wasn’t something she did. If she wasn’t with Dawn, then she was either at work, hanging with her friends, or doing her own little work out.
“That’s what I’m figuring. Let her enjoy it while she’s young even if I’ll probably have a pounding headache by the end from all the other kids,” she wasn’t looking forward to that part. Lorna had a soft spot for kids; however, that didn’t mean she wanted all the screaming and other shit that came from them when excited. He wasn’t at all wrong on that last comment. “Yeah, her father and I both agreed on how we wanted to make sure she had it better than the both of us did. But yeah, it’d be nice for her to see the world even if she won’t remember it when sent home.”
