Who: Max and Chloe What: Finding a new furry friend to take home. Where: The animal shelter When: Saturday afternoon Rating: TBD, but probably not high. Status: Closed; Incomplete
Though Max was still worried about Brooke, she agreed to go with her girlfriend to the animal shelter to look into adopting a cat. At least she had talked Chloe out of a snake or lizard. Max was definitely not a fan of either. Though cats could be standoffish, they were at least furry and adorable. Plus, they weren't as much responsibility as a dog and seeing as the two were still sharing an apartment, a cat would be an ideal choice at the moment. They could always look into buying a dog when they had a bigger place.
Arriving at the animal shelter, the two stepped inside and began to look through the cages at the cute little fur balls inside. Max had never had a pet growing up and she was unfamiliar with what to look for regarding buying one. She figured you would want it to be friendly and know how to use a litter box at least. Outside of that, she really had no other qualifications.
"So, do you have a preference in gender?" Max asked as she paused outside one of the cages to peer at a little orange kitten inside. "Or color I guess."
