There was a time when Elsa was scared to even touch Anna for fear of accidentally harming her with her powers. For years, she had stayed away from Anna, from everyone, but her parents, because she was scared of hurting them. Of people finding out about her powers. It felt like another lifetime as she hugged Anna close to her now. She never wanted to be without Anna again. She never wanted her sister to think she didn't love her or care about her.
When Anna pulled away, Elsa released her sister, studying Anna as intently as her sister was studying her. She looked exactly like from the moment Elsa had returned, after saving Arendelle from a watery demise. She looked okay, unharmed, and Elsa was relieved.
Of course Anna would think she'd been taken away again. Elsa heard that she was still in her world and still here? It was confusing, but Elsa understood why Anna felt like they'd lost each other again.
"You know I won't ever leave you for long," Elsa replied with a reassuring smile. "I thought I was taken away from you too, but you're here now, that's all that matters."
Elsa's smile wavered and she looked away, taking a deep breath. "I promise you I won't, Anna, but there are some things you need to know about this place."
Elsa took her sister's arm and gently guided her to an empty table. "I've been here for a year, Anna."
