Once upon a time, Hope would have refused him because she believed in doing so, she would be doing him a favor. She would be protecting him. However, because of Landon, she'd learned that wasn't the way she had to be. She could let people in; she could love and it was okay. A part of her would always be scared of losing him, of losing everyone she cared about, but she was willing to take the risk now...something she never believed she would be capable to do.
"I know. I won't either." It wasn't a promise, but like him, she would never leave him by choice either.
Hope squeezed his hands in return. The only one that would be bothered by it was her father. Hope would have to talk to him and she doubted the conversation would go smoothly.
"I'm glad they did. I'm not surprised. My father will be the one who takes an issue with it. Unfortunately." Hope looked away. "I'll have to talk to him. I know I can get him to understand."
