Who: Alec (and Rachel) What: Alec's necklace turns into Rachel (Narrative) When: Saturday Morning Where: His Apartment Rating: Low
Waking up in bed beside a woman wasn't new for Alec. Usually, though, he went to the girl's apartment so he could sneak out in the middle of the night so as to not have to do things like cuddle in the morning. What added to the confusion was he didn't remember going to bed with someone and since Alec had perfect memory... well, it was odd.
He turned over and froze. For a moment he suddenly wondered if he was still in Madison Valley at all. The thing was, the sheets here were too soft and there was no lingering smell for it to be back home. But that was Rachel beside his bed. Eyes widening, he sat up quickly and reached out to touch her. "Rachel?" He shook her gently, the feeling of desperation welling up inside him. "Rachel?" His hand went to her neck and he relaxed only a little when he felt her pulse.
He tried to control his breathing, but he realized when she'd arrived. She was in a coma. Who knew how long she had left before she died. He knew she would. She did back home. He had killed her. His eyes stung as he reached for her hand, holding it tight and willing for her to react to his touch, but of course she didn't.
Clearly this was some sort of punishment. He'd gotten to relaxed, to content here under the Dome and it wanted to remind him that he didn't deserve it. Well, however long Rachel had left, he'd stay beside her, because he owed her at least that.
