WHO: Quentin Sollys and OPEN WHAT: Exploring WHEN: This evening WHERE: Downtown WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Quentin had been here a few months, but he still hadn't seen all the places he wanted to see. He still hadn't been able to explore everywhere, really get to know the place. He supposed once he had, it would all become boring to him. The human world wasn't like a knowe, or like the Summerlands. It didn't adapt to fit the needs of its users. The earth was just the earth, and it stayed the same unless the forces of nature acted on it. Sure, they often did, but it wasn't the same as the fae world, which was much more in flux.
Still, to have the full run of a human town without having to worry about anything other than a little magical disguise was something he'd never had before. He'd always been running from something with Sir Daye, or he'd had to be careful that he wasn't recognized, or a thousand other things that kept him from really interacting with the world in a very true sense.
Here, he had the human world at his fingertips and he planned to make the most of it.
He'd been walking up and down Main Street for about an hour now, ducking into shops to try a piece of chocolate, or to try on a sweater, or simply to browse around. Waiting at a light, he leaned his hand against a lamp post and suddenly an unearthly shriek came from his lips as he pulled away, looking at his hand which was now red and blistered.
Iron!
He cradled it, tears coming to his eyes from the pain. Why the hell did humans use iron everywhere?!
